I'm Mike Dronge, owner of Mill City Headshots in Lowell, Massachusetts. For more than 25 years I have made portraits for business professionals, actors, entrepreneurs, and creatives across Greater Boston and Southern New Hampshire.

My early work in Hollywood's film and entertainment industry shaped how I think about light. Those years taught me to build a look carefully, then get out of the way so the person in front of the camera can relax.

Most people feel a little camera-shy when they walk in. I take time with the lighting, talk through what you want your photo to say, and keep the pace unhurried. Some people arrive knowing exactly what they want; others figure it out as we work. Either way, the goal is a portrait that looks like you on your best day.
